TOPEKA Marmaton Valley High School senior Clara Boyd was selected to attend the 35th annual Governors Scholars Awards Program May 6 in Topeka.
Boyd was invited by Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer.
The recognition ceremony honors the top academic 1 percent of Kansas high school seniors.
She is the daughter of Mark and Patti Boyd.
